RSM webinar series for trainees on the frontline

The Royal Society of Medicine and the Health Education Kent Surrey Sussex (HEKSS) Deanery, are hosting a new webinar series for all trainees working in frontline medicine.

This two-part series will provide case-based scenarios covering the most common acute medical presentations, including cardiology, respiratory, neurology and acute medicine. Experts in their fields, our panel of speakers will cover the initial assessment and management of medical conditions, highlighting any tips and red flags to look out for.

The key speakers will be:

  • Professor Nikhil Patel, Consultant cardiologist, Head of School of Medicine
  • Dr Burhan Khan, Respiratory Consultant, Training Programme Director IMT
  • Dr Fergus Chedgy, Training programme Director Gastroenterology

Part 1: Monday 8 June 2020, 4:00pm – 5:30pm

Part 2: Monday 13 July 2020, 4:00pm – 5:30pm

The programme is most relevant for Core Medical and Internal Medical TraineesInternational Medical Graduates as well as all grades of medical doctor working on the frontline (Foundation and Specialist Registrar Level) and Allied Health Professionals, including Physician Associates, nurses and paramedics.

Both webinars will be streamed live on Zoom and will be available to watch on-demand for up to a month after the live date.

A certificate of attendance and CPD certificate with 1 CPD credit will be issued to those joining each webinar live. Certificates of attendance for CPD will be automatically issued after 7 days, but only where a delegate watches the webinar live in its entirety. Those who watch the webinar on-demand will receive a certificate of attendance only.

Registration for this webinar will close 2 hours prior to the start time. You will receive the webinar link 2 hours before the meeting. Late registrations will not be accepted.

This webinar will be recorded and stored by the Royal Society of Medicine and may be distributed in future on various internet channels.
