Virtual heart rhythm and sudden cardiac death congress 2021: World-renowned doctors deliver over 200 hours of first-class education at virtual heart rhythm and sudden cardiac death congress. Launching on 3rd October, Arrhythmia Alliance (A-A) Heart Rhythm Congress (HRC) — one of the largest and most important electrophysiology conferences in the world — will see more than 250 world heart-rhythm specialists join forces to deliver 200+ hours of education.
The world-renowned faculty, which includes Arrhythmia Alliance President Professor A John Camm (London, UK) and Heart Rhythm Society (HRS) Immediate Past President Professor Christine Albert (Los Angeles, USA), has produced an agenda that is topical and inspirational.
The virtual congress will provide both LIVE and on-demand content, with all presentations being available for at least 12 months from the bespoke A-A virtual conference centre. Not-to-be-missed sessions include:
- NEW for 2021: A-A HRC2021 Named Lectures Series, featuring talks from Profs John Camm (London, UK), Hugh Calkins (Baltimore, USA), Harry Crijns (Maastricht, The Netherlands), and Ben Freedman (Syndey, Australia).
- The Adam Fitzpatrick Plenary Session — broadcast LIVE on 4th October at 5.30pm BST — with an international panel of speakers, including Prof Vivek Reddy (New York, USA) and Prof Paulus Kirchhof (Hamburg, Germany).
- Joint sessions between Arrhythmia Alliance and leading cardiology societies: British Heart Rhythm Society (BHRS, UK), Heart Rhythm Society (HRS, USA), and the Primary Care Cardiovascular Society (PCCS, UK).
- LIVE and interactive courses, such as the EP Traces Course, providing excellent opportunities to test skills and learn from peers.
In recognition that excellent patient care is the result of a multidisciplinary team working closely together, A-A HRC2021 has sessions for all healthcare professionals — including electrophysiologists, cardiologists, GPs, nurses, and pharmacists. HRC Programme Director Dr Shouvik Haldar (London, UK), says: “Having sessions for all healthcare professionals is important for the simple reason that we work as a very cohesive team to care for our patients. Education, therefore, must focus on
meeting the needs for the whole team, otherwise we will not be able to carry out our roles to the highest standard for our patients.”
Also launching on 3rd October, are the A-A, AF Association, and STARS Patients Educational Days. These are unique because they provide patients with opportunities to learn more about their condition from experts. Mrs Trudie Lobban MBE, Founder and Trustee of Arrhythmia Alliance, says: “The Patient Educational Days are a much better resource of information than ‘Dr Google’ because they give accurate and reliable information from people — medical experts — who understand the conditions they are discussing.”
Registration for A-A HRC2021 is complimentary for A-A subscribers — A-A subscription is only £50 per year and provides complimentary access to all A-A virtual events, including A-A Heart Rhythm Updates, and discounted registration for A-A physical events. For non-subscribers, registration is only £50 and — for this year only — comes with a complimentary 12-month A-A subscription.
