Dame Esther Rantzen

Dame Esther Rantzen DBE is a journalist and television presenter who founded Childline in 1986 and more recently The Silver Line, designed to combat loneliness, which she set up in 2012. She was awarded a DBE in the 2015 New Year’s Honours for services to children and older people.
